MLM Leader – What it takes…

If you would rather read the transcript for the above video – here it is:

MLM Leader

What does it take to be a leader?
There’s a culture of network marketing that you can cooperate and thrive with. Next question, some of you are too chicken to write answers down because you’re afraid to be wrong. One of the ways to grow is to be willing to be wrong. To be willing to look foolish and make mistakes.
I’ve made more mistakes than most of you.
That’s okay I’m willing to make more.
What does it take? Leadership. What you really want if you’re going to help people, you’re going to lead people.
There are many qualities in leadership that are very important. Write some of them down..what does it take to be a mlm leader? There’s no right or wrong answers, but what does it take to be a leader? Write something down.
Is it character?
Is charisma?
communication skills?
What does it take to be a mlm leader?

A Love Letter to MLM Coach Curt

Here is a letter from one of my favorite clients!

8 October 2012

A Love to Letter to Ann, Curt & 80/20

Dearest Ann, Curt, Marsha, 80/20 and Renegade Team,

Thank you! Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Words cannot begin to express my gratitude for you but I shall try to make them work.

Over 6 years ago I was a 20-something aspiring entrepreneur who knew there was a better way than my boring office and waitressing jobs. Like most 20-somethings I was pretty clueless and more than a bit lazy. I wanted a get-rich-quick or an easy fix to my financial problems. Despite knowing deep within my heart and soul that there are no such things as get-rich-quick, I took to the Internet to try to learn how to become a successful Network Marketer.

Now, let me preface by saying that I don’t really believe in luck. I believe in fate, destiny, hard work and divine intervention.

So there I was trolling the Internet for guidance, leadership and mentorship to help me build an online business and tap into my talent (writing, public relations and marketing come easy to me) when I found Curt Johnson. The divine angel that is Curt! Curt and I hit it off right away except for one problem; Curt was heading out to save the world with his missionary work and could not be my permanent mentor. So, guess who he introduced me to? The divine angel we call Ann Sieg.

This was not luck! This was destiny.

Fast forward 6 years to the current incarnation of the Renegade Team….

This past March some of us went to Vegas for the No Excuses Summit where I was positively moved by the sheer force of the Renegade Team and the speakers at this event. One speaker in particular who shook me to my core was Russel Brunson. He taught us that successful marketers find untapped markets and create products to fill the void. And he taught us step-by-step instructions on how to do so.

MLM Coaching – Making an Offer

Im most of my mlm coaching and training the revelation that you as an independent representative of XYZ company are competing against not just reps from other network marketing companies, but also reps from your own company!  Get mlm coaching to help you establish your “offer.”

What is an offer?

My friend Eric explains it perfectly:

“It’s a blinking neon sign.

That sign says it all…

“Kids Eat For Free Every Thursday and Friday.”

It’s out in front of Bandito Taco, a Mexican food
restaurant a few blocks from home.

That’s what is called an offer.

It’s not the restaurant’s main offering (which is
trading Mexican food for money).

As far as that goes, Bandito is prob’ly the 4th best
(out of a dozen or so) family Mexican food restaurants
nearby my hometown. But every Thursday and Friday
night, the place is jam packed.

Why?

They’ve made an appealing offer that prompts parents
like me to take action. And if I don’t, even my 3 year
old will remind me.

Let’s briefly discuss the term “Offer.”

Essentially, it’s a contractual term.

It’s an invitation to enter a relationship.

The relationship is based on a mutual promise.
i.e. I’ll do this for you if you do this for me.

If there’s no acceptance of the offer, there’s no
relationship.”

Eric Walker does mlm coaching in his own right, and is Ann Sieg’s Social Media Director.  I have the privilege in my mlm coaching work to gain from his teaching and wisdom

MLM Coaching

So – if you haven’t yet established your own offer – the value you bring to the market place IN ADDITION to the value that your company brings, you must figure this out to compete.

MLM Coaching on Sorting

One main ongoing strategy that all mlm coaching should include is sorting.  Professionals Sort.  All others “sell.”

Don’t get me wrong.  Much of my mlm coaching involves teaching the skills of sales, but the front end of the sales process of sorting through a steady stream of potential customers or business partners is crucial – the very life blood of your business.

Give this 2 minute mlm coaching tip below a listen with an open mind.

HOW DO YOUR PROSPECTS SEE YOU?

 MLM Coaching

If your mlm coaching, regardless of the source isn’t teaching you how to develop a USP (Unique Selling Proposition) and finding a niche market, you are going to be left in the dust.

When you discover how to generate your own leads online, and then how to sort and not sell, you will no longer as much mlm coaching, you will be doing the mlm coaching yourself and join the ranks of the professionals in this industry.

MLM Coaching – Phone Fear

MLM Coaching - Phone FearPhone fear is one of the common hurdles that many networkers need to conquer – and a common theme in mlm coaching.

Most of the fear stems from the fact that most marketers do not have the skills they need, and are taught faulty marketing principles like “Everyone is your prospect.”

It is important to get mlm coaching and training, including how to properly position yourself on the phone as an helper, not a salesperson.  This perception in your prospects mind begins early in the marketing process, not when you pick up the phone.  If people truly get the impression you want to help them with a need they have, and you are not chasing them to buy something, they will talk to you – and you will like it!

The most common  denominators of our fear include:

#1.  Rejection

#2.  Not knowing the answer to a question you may be asked

#3.  Not being in control of the conversation (like wanting to get off the phone with a real talker)

MLM Coaching

MLM coaching can go a long way to overcome your fears, and set you up with a proper marketing mindset and funnel, so that when you are on the phone, you are talking to a person as a friend giving advice, NOT trying to get someone to do anything (come to a meeting, buy something, etc.)

The sales and team mates will come as you build credibility and trust.  Phone skills is just one part of building your mlm business.  Grab my ebook that gives a good overview of this in your pursuit of mlm coaching.

MLM Coaching for Business

If you are looking for mlm coaching for business, then you owe it to yourself to do research.

First of all, make sure the coach you are engaging has had success in mlm.  Many mlm coaching platforms offer coaching from those who have no real world success.  That doesn’t make them a bad coach, but will limit their ability to understand and help you through the challenges of building your network marketing company.

Second of all, make sure the coaching model is true “business” mlm coaching.  There are many different coaching models out there, and one of the most popular is the “life coaching” model.  I’ve been trained in this modality, and although it has its place and can be powerful, it isn’t what most serious networkers need when they are looking for mlm coaching.

MLM Coaching for business that is most potent for clients is a strong mix of coaching and consulting.  You need the wisdom and experience of a successful mlm team builder and leader to shorten your path to success.  A good mlm coach will know how and when to impart those keys of success to you.

The popular life coaching model for mlm coaching right now misses the mark for what most need or want.  The coaches in this space often have no tangible success in network marketing, and operate under the false presupposition that “all the answers you need are within you.”  I don’t believe that.  Wisdom and knowledge is learned and imparted by those who know more than you do! – and if you are paying for MLM Coaching, you should have access to that.

MLM Coaching

A third key ingredient to your successful mlm coaching experience will be the “fit” with you and your coach.  It is more than just liking a coach, although that helps – it is that connection that you know this person has the insight into you and can challenge and guide you to your goals more quickly because they have been done paths you are wanting to go, but with less mistakes, and faster.

Grab my ebook – its free.  If my “flavor” resonates with you, get a hold of me.
