A Love to Letter to Ann, Curt & 80/20
Dearest Ann, Curt, Marsha, 80/20 and Renegade Team,
Thank you! Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Words cannot begin to express my gratitude for you but I shall try to make them work.
Over 6 years ago I was a 20-something aspiring entrepreneur who knew there was a better way than my boring office and waitressing jobs. Like most 20-somethings I was pretty clueless and more than a bit lazy. I wanted a get-rich-quick or an easy fix to my financial problems. Despite knowing deep within my heart and soul that there are no such things as get-rich-quick, I took to the Internet to try to learn how to become a successful Network Marketer.
Now, let me preface by saying that I don’t really believe in luck. I believe in fate, destiny, hard work and divine intervention.
So there I was trolling the Internet for guidance, leadership and mentorship to help me build an online business and tap into my talent (writing, public relations and marketing come easy to me) when I found Curt Johnson. The divine angel that is Curt! Curt and I hit it off right away except for one problem; Curt was heading out to save the world with his missionary work and could not be my permanent mentor. So, guess who he introduced me to? The divine angel we call Ann Sieg.
This was not luck! This was destiny.
Fast forward 6 years to the current incarnation of the Renegade Team….
This past March some of us went to Vegas for the No Excuses Summit where I was positively moved by the sheer force of the Renegade Team and the speakers at this event. One speaker in particular who shook me to my core was Russel Brunson. He taught us that successful marketers find untapped markets and create products to fill the void. And he taught us step-by-step instructions on how to do so.
I went home from that weekend determined to do this. I really wanted to target frustrated college graduates who cannot find a job and are battling serious financial hardship with the school loan crisis. I worked really hard on this niche for a while (still am..although it’s on hold for now) and then…another diving intervention…
My business consultant/partner, who is now one of my dearest friends, asked me to join him on a mission to make some money off of an untapped market while we tried to figure out how to best market to these frustrated college grads.
We did exactly as Russel advised. We found a market (with money) who needed our marketing expertise: Plastic Surgeons.
Over the last 4 months my business partner and I have worked our little tails off trying to figure out how to not only develop a program for these Plastic Surgeons but also how to drive traffic to our webinar, get the webinar to convert and make some much needed money.
Side note: I had NEVER done a webinar before and was so nervous I literally said “Um” like 50 times in the first few we recorded. I did NOT sound professional 😉
But I kept at it…and tried and tried again until I got it right.
So long story long…
My business partners and I just landed our first majorly big contract with a big-wig plastic surgeon this past week! Major contract!!! Not enough to buy the vacation home in Kauai but about what the average American makes in a year.
So now what? We follow Ann’s long-term advice…throw most of that money back into the business and ramp it up!
Buy more ads, make more webinars and get more doctors on board!
So I say to you fellow Renegade Team members…never ever quit! Never, ever give up hope! Yes there will be days where you want to cry, scream, quit, jump off a bridge or throw your computer through the window. But those days are worth it! Because when you land your first big contract you will know you deserve it.
Stick with Ann and 80/20! Don’t jump around from opportunity to opportunity. Stay focused and believe in yourself.
It’s all waiting for you! If I can do it so can you.
I thank you Ann and Curt from the bottom of my heart. I would NEVER have been able to do this without you.
I’m forever grateful and I love you so much! So so much…I have tears in my eyes as I write this.
Oh yeah…and check out our website.
