MLM Coaching - Phone FearPhone fear is one of the common hurdles that many networkers need to conquer – and a common theme in mlm coaching.

Most of the fear stems from the fact that most marketers do not have the skills they need, and are taught faulty marketing principles like “Everyone is your prospect.”

It is important to get mlm coaching and training, including how to properly position yourself on the phone as an helper, not a salesperson.  This perception in your prospects mind begins early in the marketing process, not when you pick up the phone.  If people truly get the impression you want to help them with a need they have, and you are not chasing them to buy something, they will talk to you – and you will like it!

The most common  denominators of our fear include:

#1.  Rejection

#2.  Not knowing the answer to a question you may be asked

#3.  Not being in control of the conversation (like wanting to get off the phone with a real talker)

MLM coaching can go a long way to overcome your fears, and set you up with a proper marketing mindset and funnel, so that when you are on the phone, you are talking to a person as a friend giving advice, NOT trying to get someone to do anything (come to a meeting, buy something, etc.)

If you are looking for mlm coaching for business, then you owe it to yourself to do research.

First of all, make sure the coach you are engaging has had success in mlm.  Many mlm coaching platforms offer coaching from those who have no real world success.  That doesn’t make them a bad coach, but will limit their ability to understand and help you through the challenges of building your network marketing company.

Second of all, make sure the coaching model is true “business” mlm coaching.  There are many different coaching models out there, and one of the most popular is the “life coaching” model.  I’ve been trained in this modality, and although it has its place and can be powerful, it isn’t what most serious networkers need when they are looking for mlm coaching.

MLM Coaching for business that is most potent for clients is a strong mix of coaching and consulting.  You need the wisdom and experience of a successful mlm team builder and leader to shorten your path to success.  A good mlm coach will know how and when to impart those keys of success to you.

The popular life coaching model for mlm coaching right now misses the mark for what most need or want.  The coaches in this space often have no tangible success in network marketing, and operate under the false presupposition that “all the answers you need are within you.”  I don’t believe that.  Wisdom and knowledge is learned and imparted by those who know more than you do! – and if you are paying for MLM Coaching, you should have access to that.

A third key ingredient to your successful mlm coaching experience will be the “fit” with you and your coach.  It is more than just liking a coach, although that helps – it is that connection that you know this person has the insight into you and can challenge and guide you to your goals more quickly because they have been done paths you are wanting to go, but with less mistakes, and faster.

Hey this is MLM Coach Curt. Welcome. This is a young lady in a nurse’s office being vaccinated. Vaccination is when you get a little bit of something so that your body – it’s a weakened condition of a virus or a bacteria or something – and your body builds up resistance against that. Sorry if that’s not medically completely accurate but that’s how it works. Your body builds up these defenses.

What’s happened in our society with the traditional approaches to network marketing is similar to vaccination. When you present your product or your service along with “Oh, by the way you can make money doing this,” our society has been vaccinated against this kind of approach.

Even if you’ve got a great product, even if you’ve got a great opportunity for people to make money, when you present both at the same time, your product and service and an opportunity, and it goes something like this, “Oh here’s a great juicer, here’s a great phone service and by the way you can make some money with me,” people have been hit on so many times by Uncle Joe and Neighbor Frank and Aunt Sue that they simply have been burned or people have done it unprofessionally.

People have done it in ways that turn them off so they’ve been vaccinated. They’re not going to listen to what you have to say even if you think they would have. That’s part of the reason that the traditional approaches don’t work in network marketing. Well at all you have to have skin as thick as a rhinoceros to get through that gauntlet.  (For more wisdom grab MLM Coach Curt\’s ebook – Free.)

Some people have come, “Okay, I haven’t had any opportunity to do this offline. I’m running out of family and friends. People are running away from me. I’ll go on. There’s lots more people there” and that’s true. There are lots more people online. You can expose your business to, or your products and services to millions of people but that’s just the point. You also have to have a change of strategy in this day and age.

Present your product and then out of that pool of satisfied customers you might find someone that wants to do business with you. To mix the two is unnatural.

When I go get a haircut, my barber doesn’t say, “Well Curt, you want to be a barber.” When I go get my car fixed, my mechanic say, “Curt, you want to become a mechanic.” Because it’s just not natural. And so don’t mix the two whether you’re offline or whether you’re offline.

When you start attracting leads because you’re helping people with your products, your service, or you start attracting leads online because people truly are looking for an opportunity to make some money with you and do it properly, decently and in order, you’ll find that those leads that you get are wonderful and can lead to great income.
